וַיִּשְׂרֹ֥ף יְהוֹשֻׁ֖עַ אֶת־ הָעָ֑י וַיְשִׂימֶ֤הָ תֵּל־ עוֹלָם֙ שְׁמָמָ֔ה עַ֖ד הַיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּֽה׃

And Joshua burnt Ai, and made it an heap for ever, even a desolation unto this day.
